It's that time of year, once again! I just want to make sure to remind all of you not that you're dirty to be washing your hands! Germs spread easily now that we're back to school, so be careful what you touch and don't go sneezing on people.
A list of helpful reminders: Wash your hands, even if they don't feel dirty If you have to cough, do it in to your shoulder or elbow/somewhere that won't be picking things up and touching things If you sneeze, use a tissue I know we all have our special friends, but please be careful; mono is not your friend as well
If you need anything, please see the nurses. They're more than willing to help you along with whatever you have (that isn't. . .related to. . .the medication. . .).
My students, it's almost October! For those of you that have never had me before, keep in mind that we will begin to go outside now that it's starting to cool off and leave us with relatively nice days. Make sure to wear appropriate clothing as I sometimes forget to give notice about when we'll be going out or staying in. Generally, if it's sunny out and didn't rain too hard the night before, we're going for a walk. Unless it's quiz day.
9/3/08 08:12 am
First student to find my son gets an A on their next quiz. Go.
Noah is a smart boy, so he won't be touching anything, but he's playing this ridiculous game and I can't find him. I'm sure he's wandered around the science department long enough that he's easily not here any longer. He'll come back in time, but if you happen to see him on the way to class, bring him back.
I am going to ground that boy.

Congratulations students on making the cut! I look forward to starting practice with you Monday. I apologize for the lateness of this notice. E-Mails have been sent to each of you individually with more information!
[[I'd like to make note that names with ** are not characters we actually have and therefore do not have last names. I am lazy and don't want to make up last names. If you still want your character on either the boys or girls team, just leave me a message here or on my OOC post and I can switch some of them out~]]
8/16/08 12:46 pm

BOYS AND GIRLS. IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR FOR ME TO PREPARE YOU TO KICK SOME RUGBY BUTT!
Chorus isn't the only thing with try outs coming up. Two days next week I'll be teaching the basics to new and old. Then there will be a break day before try outs. It's okay if you've never played before, that's what practice is for! Just come and see what you got!
Monday - Basics 3-5 Tuesday - Basics Enforced 3-5 Thursday - Try Outs 3-6 Friday - Call Backs 3-6
If you make the team you'll be given a typed out schedule for this year. Don't worry, I won't push you too hard.
Maybe~
Oh, by the way, try out times above are for boys AND girls. We do have more than one coach, you know.
Note to all students: I know this new information presented to you yesterday is shocking and frustrating, but please stay calm. You only harm yourself by stressing over it, so follow our lead and go about your daily lives. BUT, if you need someone to talk to I have this thing you all have, it's called AIM. Feel free to message me whenever you like, or stop by my office during a study or after school. I'm always open to speaking with students and helping you all out. It's okay if you want to talk. And it's okay how you're feeling. If you didn't feel something I'd be worried.
8/8/08 11:38 am
Well, we're back. Noah is as happy as ever, so there's a bit of sunshine in my otherwise smog filled world. Oye.
( Private to Self )
8/2/08 05:27 pm
Noah and I are excited to be returning to the academy. We leave Monday and should be signing in Tuesday morning.
Oh, faculty friends! Noah has made all of you gifts, or at least those of you he remembers meeting. We'll be hunting you down as the days roll on after we're settled in.
He also has a message. . .
cat dog noah hi red
We'll see you all soon!
7/14/08 05:53 pm
Over the weekend I took Noah to the beach. He loved it and built a sand dinosau-he's telling me it was a Stegosaurus. So he built a sand-Stegosaurus and some kid with a kite came running along and stepped in it. Ruined the whole thing. Noah wasn't even upset and just went around building another one. I, on the other hand, wanted to smack the kid. He was probably at least 14, so he's not really a kid anymore. He should be able to pay attention. Not to mention he almost kicked Noah in the head. Jerk.
Oh well. Karma got me for my evil thoughts, gave me a terrible sunburn on all of my front from my feet to my neck. Thank God I had on a hat. Noah got off with a small tan, seeing as I forced him to put sunblock on every two hours.
7/11/08 11:49 am
Well, holy shit.
I've been promoted to department head.
Jesus. I honestly did not think they would have considered my application.
6/26/08 09:43 pm
I'm sitting here counting to 30 for the tenth time today. Noah is very good at playing hide and seek. I can NEVER find him.
6/16/08 10:12 am
Today, Noah and I are going to the beach. Apparently, he's never been before. He's very excited and has been dragging his green pale and blue shovel around the house all morning. I feel kind of silly taking pictures, but he's just so adorable it's hard not to.
Shame Kale couldn't come.
6/11/08 12:05 am
Graduates! I'm so proud of all of you. Having made it this far in your lives, I hope that you have many more great years ahead of you. College will take you to places beyond your wildest dreams, but those of you not attending. Don't fear. Many amazing persons out there have never gone to college and have done wonderful things. Just remember to always do your best, because every little thing you do counts! And most of all, never let anything bad said about you get to you. Be it on your race, sexuality, accent, or color of your hair. Do what you want to do because you like it, and do it well.
Good luck.

[Locked from Students]
Noah has been such a good boy. But he still hasn't said anything. I worry about him, but I hope it's only a phase. I'm not sure what to do about it. He hasn't shown any signs of deflection, he doesn't back away or hide. Noah just doesn't talk at all. Nods, shakes his head, points or stomps his feet; but no words. Hm. If this doesn't stop soon I might have to take him to a psychiatrist because I can't do anything. I'm so frightened.
But all in all, he's been good and well. He's colored through two books and all over my notes for class. Good thing I can still read them. He's also taken to wearing socks on his hands. Usually they're mine, which means my trouser socks or nylons are ripped. It's funny, really.
I'm doing alright, too. Kale is supposed to be coming this weekend. I assume he'll be here tomorrow morning since he wasn't here today. I'm not ashamed to say I'm excited to see him. I've really missed that man, and after our phone call
Noah's fallen. Edit later.
5/13/08 02:58 pm
At least my students seem to like Noah. Though, to be honest, how can you dislike an adorable near 4-year-old like him? He hasn't said much. In fact, I don't think he's said anything at all. Even back home he just sat there, pointed at this or that, or went to the bathroom. On his own, too. Though one time he got stuck and I had to help him up. He doesn't tell me when he's hungry, though, which worries me. So I just ask every hour or so if he'd like a snack. Ma told me that he always had breakfast at 7, lunch at 12, and dinner at 5. He must be on a schedule, I guess. Fine with me, makes my life a little easier when it comes to him.
Yesterday I brought him to the daycare, but he didn't like it. Seeing as he's so quiet, and a very good boy, I'm going to keep him with me during class. Unless we're doing labs, then I'll bring him to the parenting room. Plenty for him to do, and he's very smart. I just hope the transition doesn't hurt or upset him. He's not even in the same state anymore.
He's taken over my bed. My bed could be the size of the room and no matter where I was, he's there too. I blocked him into pillows last night to stop his tossing. Then I rolled over onto an action figure, luckily it was Augumon. Or however it's spelled. I've decided Noah isn't allowed to watch that show. It's too violent. Monsters blowing other monsters up, or something. I'm not really sure, but maybe I'll let him watch when he's five.
CLASSES. IF IT TAKES ME LONGER TO GET YOU BACK YOUR PAPERS THAN USUAL I'M VERY SORRY. I'm still extremely new to parenting and have yet to figure out how to worry about a baby and grade your tests. I think I'm going to nix essays for the rest of the year. You've written me enough.

To My Students:
I will not be teaching class Thursday or Friday, so be good for the substitute. If I get bad notes, it'll mean trouble. Tomorrow you'll be working on a work sheet in class, silently. You are not allowed to work in pairs, this is prep for your quiz that will be Monday. Friday you will go over the worksheet. DO NOT WASTE YOUR CLASS TIME AND JUST COPY THE ANSWERS ON FRIDAY. It won't help you for the quiz. It's crunch time, kids. And while I'm sure you'll all do fine, I want to make sure you're prepared. I might throw in a trick question just to see if you were really paying attention!
Good luck, I'll see you Monday.
Private To Staff/Friends:
I'm going home for the weekend. My sister has been in a car accident and is in the hospital. We're not sure if she'll make it or not, mom said she's doing terrible. As a warning. . .I might be returning with my nephew, Noah. He is three, going on four in October. If my sister doesn't pull through, I'm to take him seeing as my parents just aren't equipped for a child anymore.
Hoo boy.
5/6/08 08:07 pm
William, I need to speak with you. I might have to take an emergency vacation.
4/28/08 12:15 am
It's getting unbearably warm in here. Is the heat still on control through the office and not off?
He still hasn't called. Why can't I stop thinking about him?
4/21/08 09:14 pm
Well the dance is almost here. I hope you're all excited. Remember, tickets go on sale in all lunches starting tomorrow (Tuesday) for $5.
Lucky for those of you in my class, because I'm feeling nice. . .NO HOMEWORK. But this means you have work in class, "hardcore."
4/5/08 07:13 pm
I'm so glad that's taken care of. Jesus, I'd have hoped teens could handle their lives better. Ah well, it's what school's for. Learning to take care of it.
New units this coming week! Oh, I hope you're all excited. In Biology we're going to do punnett squares and get married! Then have children. It's fun, fun, fun! In AP Biology we're going to delve into the world of plants and do a brief unit on botany. Anatomy students, we're starting our dissection quarter! Don't be disgusted, it's not so terrible. And finally, Chem, we're going to be dealing with compounds. But I swear there will be hell to pay if any of you blow the beakers up. Otherwise it's back to penny cleaning solutions. :}

I wonder if I should call Kale. I've been putting it off because I've been busy, but every time my phone rings I practically dive for it. I just don't know, but damn, I really liked him. I should ask Jules what she thinks, but to be honest I'm old enough to decide for myself.
I will. I'll call him in a little bit. These worksheets won't photocopy themselves.

It's terribly hot in here. . .

3/30/08 09:21 am
I'm very disappointed in the students who have been apart of the recent events. Those of you who took down those fliers, thank you. To those that did not and read them or what have you. I'm ashamed. I had really thought we better people than this. I look around at your faces in class and while I'm trying to teach, someone is being a horribly disrespectful person. I'm aware I am not your teacher for all of your classes, and some of you reading this may not even have me as your teacher at all. But the fact remains, I feel like in some way I have done wrong here. I feel like we, the teachers who are responsible for you in your parents absent, are wrong.
Have we set examples for which to follow that brought about these events? Are we being ignorant and terrible, so much so that you have learned from our cruel natures?
I feel like we've failed you, the students. It must be my fault that there are those of you acting this way. I've been setting these terrible examples for you. I haven't been working hard enough to ensure you learn the proper way to be a human being. This feeling is the same as when a student fails my classes. Did I not help them properly? Perhaps I was blind to the fact they needed help? It's my fault the student is failing, I haven't been teaching properly.
So it's my fault these events have happened, that you as a student body has gone off of the proper path. . .
All students in my classes will be given a test on Tuesday. This is not a test you can study for, please keep in mind that if you are absent to avoid this test the make-up will be more difficult. If you cannot make it to my class for a legit reason, E-Mail me.
